Smith hurt in car crash
WATFORD striker Tommy Smith is a major doubt for the club's FA Cup quarter final clash against either Burnley or Fulham next month after being injured in a car crash.
The 22-year-old and his girlfriend escaped serious injury but Black did suffer whiplash from the incident.
Smith, who scored the winning penalty for The Hornets to knock out Premiership bottom dwellers Sunderland in the fifth round, will now be in a race against time to be fit for their quarter final tie at Vicarage Road on March 9.
Watford boss Ray Lewington told the Evening Standard: "Tommy will be off for a couple of weeks.
"He and his girlfriend were apparently fortunate to have escaped relatively lightly."
