Kettering secure Gunners prospect

KETTERING TOWN have snapped up former Arsenal academy striker Carlin Itonga.

The 20-year-old Congo-born star has been with The Gunners for the last three years and has an impressive scoring rate of two goals in every three games at academy level.

Kettering boss Carl Shutt admitted his delight at the club's latest capture, who joins other new recruits Paul Mayo, Brett Solkhon and Davey Williamson at Rockingham Road.

"We've had a look at him and to be honest he (Itonga) sounds too good to be true," said Shutt.

"But we might just be grateful he has landed on our lap."
