Law defends Andy after Gray day

Gray had been in magnificent form for The Bantams of late, but forgot to pack his shooting boots for the club's 2-1 reverse against The Saddlers.

Scottish national coach Berti Vogts is reportedly ready to call-up for former Leeds ace for his next squad get-together and is set to run the rule over the star.

Despite having an off day, Law was quick to get behind his emergency hit-man and has backed him to return to form.

"Andy admitted after the game that he was poor, but he was there to miss them," said Law to the club's official website.

"On another day he'd have had two or three. He still worked very hard but it just didn't come off.

"He's had a very good season so far and that has rightly been recognised. It's a boost for the team that an international manager is coming to watch one of our players."
