Di Canio aims new blast at Hammers
The controversial Italian, who is back in his homeland receiving treatment on an injury, believes the East London had no intention of extending his contract which expires at the end of the season.
The former Celtic and Sheffield Wednesday ace claims that despite West Ham's snub ten other clubs are keen on signing him.
"They told me they would renegotiate my contract in January but now I'm told I will have to wait," fumed Di Canio. "What has happened? Nothing.
"Even if I scored 50 goals for West Ham, they would not want me.
"Quite clearly they have made up their minds they do not want to keep me.
"But I will have a contract next season because 10 clubs want to sign me."
Di Canio also revealed he has not spoken to West Ham manager Glenn Roeder since their touchline bust-up at The Hawthorns last month.
The skillful striker was incensed when Roeder substituted him during the Hammers' crucial 2-1 victory over West Brom and accused the Upton Park boss of lying.
"I don't need to speak to him, I've said what I think is the truth. He hasn't asked to speak to me so he must understand," added Di Canio
Meanwhile, Roeder believes that striker Les Ferdinand could be at the club next season.
Ferdinand joined the club during the January transfer window on a short-term deal from Tottenham, but Roeder has been impressed by the former England international and would like to keep him on for next season.
"I don't think Les has decided his future as far as next year is concerned and whether he feels he will want to retire," said Roeder.
"But if he plays like he did on Saturday for us Les is just the sort of character and human being you would want to try and keep at the club."
