Imps cast eye over trial trio
The players in question are goalkeeper Andrew Grainger, and strikers Mark Ward and Niall McNamara.
Grainger, 20, is a youth product of Darlington, whilst Ward, 21, began his career at Sheffield United before joining Unibond Premier League outfit Belper Town in September.
Irishman McNamara came through the youth ranks at Nottingham Forest before moving to city rivals Notts County.
However, the 21-year-old failed to break into the first-team at Meadow Lane, and like Ward has most recently been at Belper Town.
City boss Keith Alexander's (pictured) need for goalkeeping cover has been made more urgent after it was revealed that second-choice custodian Darren Horrigan will be out of action for a number of weeks.
Horrigan sustained a serious knee injury in training this week, and further tests have revealed ligament damage.
"Darren has definitely strained his medial collateral ligament in his right knee though and will be out of action for a few weeks," confirmed club physio, Keith Oakes.
