Cudicini - England role unlikely
CARLO CUDICINI has told planetfootball that he was honoured to be talked of as a potential England goalkeeper - but admits it is an unlikely occurrence.
The Chelsea goalkeeper has never played for his native Italy, and could feasibly represents England if he takes citizenship in the country he has made his home.
Cudicini is flattered to be talked of in terms of the England team - but is not holding his breath for it to happen.
"I was surprised and, at the same time, very honoured," stated the Blues number one.
"Not least because they are a very conservative country.
"To be talked of in terms of a nation like this is wonderful - but I don't see myself ever being goalkeeper of the England national side."
Cudicini has been a major factor in Chelsea's impressive campaign this year - and has emerged as one of the outstanding goalkeepers in The Premiership.
