WOLFSBURG have secured the signature of promising Eintracht Frankfurt youngster Albert Streit for next season on a free transfer.

The 22-year-old right-sided midfielder has been one of the stars in Frankfurt's promotion push this season, but has decided to leave the Waldstadion to pursue his career with the ambitious Wolves.

Streit, who joined Frankfurt in 1997 from Stuttgart and made his way through the club's junior ranks, has put pen-to-paper on a three-year contract with Wolfsburg.

Despite penning a deal with The Wolves, the youngster grew up watching his hero Gheorghe Hagi play for Romania and would love to one day follow in his footsteps and play for Barcelona at Camp Nou.

Frankfurt have been in superb form this second in the German second division, having hauled in an impressive 47 points this term guiding them into second spot.
