Milan chase Czech star
ITALIAN giants Milan are hoping to sign Hamburg's Czech international defender Tomas Ujfalusi, his agent has revealed.
Reports in Italy suggest that Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti is keen to pair the Czech star with Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Nesta in defence and Ujfalusi's agent Dalibor Lacina confirmed the club`s interest.
"Yes, the reports are true," declared Lacina.
Despite interest from Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, the 24-year-old has only recently extended his contract with Hamburg until 2007, but the club has already announced that they are willing to sell if a lucrative offer for the ‚é¼10 million-rated player should be put forward.
"I am not surprised that top clubs are after him," said Hamburg coach Kurt Jara.
