Celta to count on Contreras
CELTA VIGO have confirmed they will recall Chilean international Pablo Contreras when his loan spell with Sporting Lisbon ends.
The defender has been highly impressive during his stint in Portugal and Sporting had been keen to make the switch permanent.
However, Celta boss Miguel Lotina has declared that he will be bringing the 25-year-old back to the Balaidos, and added that he had been impressed by the South American's recent form.
"We have been following him intently and I have seen that he has progressed in several aspects that can be very positive for us next season," stated the Galicians' coach.
Contreras spent last season on loan at Primera rivals Osasuna, but looks set to finally make the breakthrough with Celta with whom he is under contract until 2004.
