Serginho ready for return

MILAN star Serginho has declared himself fit to return for Milan's assault on Serie A and the Champions League in the final few weeks of the season.

The Brazilian star has been missing for the last month after picking up a knee knock in the abandoned game against Torino.

The former Sao Paulo ace is now hoping to make a return to the first team when Serie A action resumes next week following the international break when Milan travel to Parma.

"I've recovered and am no longer suffering," said Serginho. "In these next few days I will give my best in training to get back to full fitness.

"I'm ready to play at the Stadio Tardini because I know I will be firing on all cylinders by then," he maintained.

"Admittedly five points are a lot to make up and we can't afford to make any more mistakes from now on.

"Yet if we can play like we did at the start of the campaign then the Scudetto could be ours."
