Haaland makes Bryne investment

MANCHESTER CITY'S Alf Inge Haaland have invested around a £250,000 in Norwegian side Bryne.

Haaland sees the club, who are desperately struggling for funds, as an excellent long-term investment after conducting a deal with Stale Kyllingsmark.

"The company was started first of all to help Bryne to survive. It's a long term investment. It's important to help in a difficult time," said Haaland to Stavanger Aftenblad.

Haaland is currently fighting to save his career at Maine Road, but could end up playing for Bryne should he fail to prove his Premiership fitness.

Bryne's chairman Ole Terje Strom was delighted with Haaland's contribution saying:"We had a great need to get in fresh money."

The deal, which will eventually see Haaland returned his investment, is hoping to provide the club with funds to develop more players to eventually sell on.
