Fergie rules out Becks exit
Ever since United were paired with their Spanish counter-parts in the Champions League, reports have hinted the England captain could make a summer switch to the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, Ferguson has blasted the link, and claims that the club are not in the habit of cashing in on their prized assets to generate revenue.
"It is totally out of the question, there is no way we would sell him," said Ferguson.
"Why would I want to sell my best players?"
Beckham is seen as an invaluable commodity by Ferguson as the player's pulling power is second-to-none to anyone else in the entire country.
"I don't think there is a more talked-about person in Britain than David," added Ferguson.
"The public have made him into a different person. He's still a nice boy, but he has seen the parameters of his whole life change.
"He has had to tackle things like his personal security and he even has to think about something as innocent as signing autographs."
Meanwhile, The Red Devils boss added that he is happy skipper Roy Keane opted against making an international return as it would have hindered his appearances for the club.
With Ireland making a gruelling trip to Tblisi to face Georgia before travelling to Tirana to play Albania, it is unlikely the midfield ace could have turned out against Liverpool.
Now that Keane will never make another appearance for Ireland, Ferguson is hoping the former Nottingham Forest ace can continue his career for years to come.
"I was not against his return, but when he sat down with club doctors they made it plain he had to be careful," continued Ferguson.
"We hope that Roy can play on for at least another three seasons. He is vital for us. It is so important he is out there on the pitch."
