Berkovic in new injury blow
MANCHESTER CITY star Eyal Berkovic is to travel to London on Tuesday to have tests after complaining of abdominal pains suffered during the weekend defeat to Bolton Wanderers.
The Israeli international has only just returned to the fold after having an operation to clear up a hernia problem last month and the latest knock is a worry to boss Kevin Keegan.
The Citizens chief has agreed to let the player miss training sessions should there be no improvement in the injury in an effort to labour the ex-Celtic ace through the rest of the season.
The bigger concern for the player though is the declaration made by national coach Avraham Grant that he will not select any player not fully-fit, which could rule the player out of his country's Euro 2004 qualifier against Cyprus later this month.
