Etherington frustrated
The winger has just over a year to run on his present contract, and is set to sit down and talk about his future with Spurs officials in the summer.
However, the former Peterborough man has warned Spurs that he may not ink a deal if he is overlooked for selection by Glenn Hoddle.
Etherington said: "I want regular first-team football and coming on for a few minutes in games is not doing me any good."
Hoddle praised Etherington earlier in the season, saying he had made great strides since his arrival at White Hart Lane, and it would appear the player is in the long-term plans of the former England manager.
