Page eyeing cup shock

SHEFFIELD UNITED skipper Robert Page says that his side are not scared of Arsenal ahead of their FA Cup semi-final meeting on Sunday, and believes they can produce another cup upset by dumping The Gunners out of the competition.

The Welsh stopper is preparing with the rest of the Blades squad as they look to reach the FA Cup final for the first time since 1936.

Neil Warnock's side are massive underdogs against Arsene Wenger's double-chasers, but Page believes that the South Yorkshire side will have no fear, and can upset the odds to make it to Cardiff.

"Arsenal's players are only human after all," said Page.

"Thankfully, on top of that they are allowed only 11 on the pitch at the same time!

"So it is 11 v 11 and, if we work our hearts out, fight for 90 minutes and defend as a team, there's no reason why we cannot sneak a goal and get a win.

"We have no fear going into this game. We're going to give them all the respect they deserve but we are not going to stand back in awe of them.

"We are going to get stuck into them from the first minute and we believe we can win."

The 28-year-old has come up against a number of top-class strikers in his Premiership days with Watford and also on international duty with Wales, and rates Thierry Henry as one of the best.

"It's great to play against a player like him. That's what you want to do in your career - test yourself against the best.

"When I was with Watford in The Premiership we went to Old Trafford. Coming up against Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke was special.

"I've also taken on Italy's Christian Vieri and Filippo Inzaghi for Wales. That was a big challenge, too.

"Henry is in the same category - a top-class professional and a top-class player."

Meanwhile, Warnock is hoping that starlet Michael Tonge will be fit to take on Arsenal, as he continues to struggle with an ankle injury.

Tonge may be forced to have painkilling injections for the problem but is desperate to face Arsenal.
