Boschker linked with Ajax move

TWENTE keeper Sander Boschker is the latest keeper to be linked with a summer move to Ajax.

A string of keepers have been linked with a move to Amsterdam, as the Dutch champions are set to lose Australian ace Joe Didulica at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old seems certain to leave Twente, after failing to agree terms over a new contract, and this has prompted him to be linked with a move to Ajax.

Bogdan Lobont and Maarten Stekelenburg are the two keepers who would be vying for a place with any new recruit, and Boschker`s profile fits the bill.

His experience would be an asset to the Ajax coaching staff, and he would be less likely to make the wrong noises if not guaranteed a regular place in the team.

Fulham keeper Edwin van der Sar has also been mentioned in connection with a return to Ajax, but any move would seem unlikely.

Being Dutch number one, van der Sar would demand both a regular place in the team and a sizeable salary, something Ajax would be unlikely to give him.

Utrecht`s Harald Wapenaar has also been linked with a move to the Amsterdam ArenA, having reportedly held talks with Ajax`s coaching staff.
