Berkovic out of Israeli clash
EYAL BERKOVIC has been ruled out of Israel's Euro 2004 qualifying clash with Cyprus later this month.
The dynamic midfielder, who has just overcome a long-standing groin problem, was replaced at half time in Saturday's draw with Middlesbrough.
Berkovic has already informed national coach Avraham Grant that he will not be able to feature in the clash against the Cypriots.
"I have no doubt that Eyal wants to play for the national team, but first of all he has to be fit," said Grant.
