Reds confirm Fink interest
J-LEAGUE strugglers Urawa Red Diamonds have confirmed their interest in Bayern Munich's Thorsten Fink after the veteran midfielder revealed his desire to play in the Far East.
The Reds recently released temperamental Brazilian striker Edmundo and have now targeted the 35-year-old German as the player to help salvage their faltering season.
"He has the skills and the attitude to really help our club out a lot," Reds president Motoaki Inukai said at a press conference.
"He is certainly a player the club needs."
Fink said earlier in the week he is considering a move to Japan before becoming a full-time amateur player in his home country.
He has been warming the Bayern bench for most of the season and fancies a spell abroad before ending his professional career.
