Cossato blow for Chievo
CHIEVO'S fading hopes of obtaining a Champions League place were dealt a further blow with the news that striker Federico Cossato is out of their run-in.
Cossato picked up an injury during the weekend draw with Bologna and is ruled out due to an injury to the sole of his right foot.
The nine-goal attacker has been told to have complete rest for the next two weeks before using the foot again which is unlikely to see him feature in Serie A again this term.
The Flying Donkeys' successful season looks like having no Champions League berth to show for their endeavour but they remain in the hunt for a Uefa Cup place in sixth place.
