Unlucky 13 leave Burnley
BURNLEY have released 13 first team squad members, as manager Stan Ternent only offers fresh terms to Drissa Diallo and Graham Branch.
Among the big-name casualties at Turf Moor are Ian Cox, Steve Davis, Nik Michopoulos, Marlon Beresford and Lee Briscoe.
Paul Cook, Gordon Armstrong and Andy Payton had already declared their intention to leave the First Division side, who have shipped an alarming number of goals recently.
Ternent has confirmed that he does hope to sign youngsters Matt O'Neill and Joel Pilkington on professional contracts.
However, Armstrong, Beresford, Briscoe, Cook, Cox (pictured), Earl Davis, Steve Davis, Andrew Leeson, Michopoulos, Payton, Mark Rasmussen, Anthony Shandran and Andrew Waine are all leaving The Clarets this summer.
