Crespo: Only Vieri can decide

HERNAN CRESPO believes that the only man who knows when Christian Vieri is ready to return is the player himself.

Crespo believes his Internazionale team-mate should not be put under pressure to rush back prematurely for the all-important second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Milan, after coach Hector Cuper suggested the striker could return.

"Having Christian Vieri in good form would make things a lot easier for us," conceded Crespo.

"But I don't think it is fair to put pressure on him.

"He is the best doctor for himself and the only person who can really judge if he is ready to play.

"At this point in the season every game is vital," added the Argentine marksman.

"Champions League games are a little different from the norm, but this game is sure to be well balanced as the first one was.

"We are sure to see a better game because both sides know that to reach the final they must score.

"I am confident. Inter are convinced they will perform well.

"I see my team-mates during training and they are charged to the right point."
