Nedved rues booking

Nedved scored the third in a 3-1 win that put Juve through, but picked up a needless booking for a foul on Steve McManaman that means he is suspended for the final at Old Trafford.

"For my part I am happy because we have beaten a massive team," said Nedved.

"Unfortunately I won't be in Manchester for the final because I made a silly foul and received a yellow card which means I am suspended.

"I am really sorry.

"My goal was the most important of my career.

"People talk of the Golden Ball but I am trying to win something with the team and everyone knows the Champions League is my aim.

"I am convinced that this team has every chance of winning this now.

"I think Gianluigi Buffon was decisive tonight, and not just because he stopped the Luis Figo penalty."
