Windfall for Northwich
Striker Gregg Blundell's £25,000 transfer to Belle Vue in the closing weeks of the season, was accompanied by a £10,000 bonus payment should Rovers clinch promotion to Division Three.
Saturday's 3-2 victory over Dagenham & Redbridge secured the Yorkshire side's return following a five-year absence, and gives Jimmy Quinn's (pictured) Vics' greater bargaining power as they aim to improve their squad in pursuit of a top half finish next term.
Further money may be on the way in the opening weeks of next season, should Leyton Orient striker Gary Fletcher complete 15 league games for the Third Division outfit.
Fletcher moved from Drill Field in June 2001, but has struggled to make an impact at Orient.
However, with a similar payment clause in his contract to Blundell's, he is close to releasing a £25,000 windfall for Quinn's Conference outfit, on top of the initial £150,000 fee.
