Evanilson extends Dortmund stay

BRAZILIAN right-back Evanilson will remain at Borussia Dortmund after the former German champions extended his loan spell from Serie A side Parma.

Evanilson, who joined Dortmund from Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte four years ago, was sold to Parma two years ago in a player-plus-cash deal that saw compatriot Marcio Amoroso arriving at the Westfalen stadium, but was then loaned back to Dortmund.

"We can't afford another right-back who would be better than he is," financial director Michael Meier told local paper Ruhr-Nachrichten.

The 27-year-old, who scored four goals in 104 games for Borussia, is currently sidelined by knee problems and will miss the final two games of the season.
