Camoranesi admits waning form

MAURO CAMORANESI has admitted that his scintillating form has disappeared, but is confident of getting back to his best for the Champions League final against Milan.

The Argentine hit the headlines earlier in the season for his convoluted decision over which nation he would represent - plumping for Italy in the end.

"I have to be more consistent because I know I can give the team so much more," conceded Camoranesi.

"I am playing for Juventus and that means I must have more quality in my performances.

"Juventus is a club like no other. I am very pleased to have the chance to play in this team.

"There is no guarantee I will be allowed to play next year.

"I understand why this team is called the 'Old Lady.' It knows how to seduce you and conquer you.

"This club has a special style and also something else I cannot explain."

The winger is currently co-owned by Juventus and Verona - and the latter want around £5 million to hand over total ownership to the Turin club.

Should the two clubs not agree on a fee, it could open the door for Internazionale who have been following the player's progress.

Camoranesi is still angling for a new deal - with the midfielder one of the lowest paid players in the first team.
