Planus nets new Bordeaux deal
Planus has established himself in the first-team with Les Girondins this season and has been handed an enhanced contract.
The 21-year-old only signed a three-year deal last August and while the contract length remains the same, he has been given an improved package.
His displays at Parc Lescure this term have earned Planus comparisons with former Bordeaux stopper Alain Roche (pictured), who retired last year.
Though Planus was blamed for the mistake which enabled Ronaldinho to score for Paris Saint Germain in the Coupe de France semi-final, Les Girondins had no hesitation in rewarding the centre half.
Planus is flattered by parallels with Roche and is determined to follow in his compatriot's footsteps.
He said: "People compare me to a big master of football. If I can enjoy as beautiful a career as him...Roche is an example to follow."
