Santa Cruz returns home for treatment
BAYERN MUNICH have allowed Paraguayan striker Roque Santa Cruz to return to his homeland for treatment on his injured knee.
The 21-year-old ace picked up the latest problem to his knee in March in training and missed Bayern's championship win.
Santa Cruz has seen his season blighted by a series of injuries and he will miss the last Bundesliga game of the season with Schalke this weekend and the German Cup final with Kaiserslautern.
Bayern hope that the skilful hit-man will be able to return in time for pre-season training and he is expected to begin his preparations two weeks before the rest of his team-mates.
