Alex look at Hay
CREWE ALEXANDRA could be ready to make a move for former trialist Danny Hay.
Hay is out of contract at Walsall and, as yet, no new deal has been offered.
The 28-year-old defender enjoyed a loan spell at Crewe in the summer of 1999, but the club were unable to obtain a work permit to sign him from Perth Glory, allowing Leeds to snap him up.
Crewe boss Dario Gradi is keen to bring in a new defender with Dave Walton set to leave Gresty Road after turning down a new deal with the newly-promoted Division One outfit.
