Diouf denies spitting charge
LIVERPOOL'S El Hadji Diouf has denied spitting at a Celtic fan during their Uefa Cup clash at Parkhead.
The Senegal star will go on trial for the offence on September 4, after a brief hearing in Glasgow on Friday.
The Reds star is charged with assaulting Celtic fan Dominic Schiavone - who he has apologised to.
The player himself was not present during the hearing, which sent the case to trial at the Sheriff Court.
