Ronaldo's agents arrested
THE agents of Real Madrid star Ronaldo have been arrested for alleged fraud.
Alexandre Martins and Reinaldo Pitta, who represent the Brazilian superstar, were arrested in Rio de Janeiro on Monday for allegedly laundering money.
The pair are believed to have illegally transferred funds in the region of $33.4 million for public servants from Brazil to Switzerland.
Both men are alleged to have taken cuts for opening accounts for some public servants in Switzerland and they could face custodial sentences if found guilty of the offence.
