Xabi unaware of United interest
Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson recently revealed he was quite keen to match the £20 million buy-out clause in his contract.
However, despite the Scot's apparent interest in the 21-year-old, Xabi prefers to focus all his attention on helping Sociedad land the title.
The Estadio Anoeta side are currently one point ahead of Real Madrid and four clear of third-place Deportivo La Coruna in the race for La Liga crown.
"I do not know anything of the interest from any team regarding my future," said Xabi to AS. "It is only a rumour.
"Right now I'm currently focussed on the league. I'm very happy in the Spanish League."
With the championship firmly in their own hands, Alonso is eyeing two victories in their final matches to secure the title.
"We have more options now than before last weekend. It's in our own hands, and if we gain two wins we will be champions," continued Xabi.
"People are getting very excited, but one must remain calm and not get complacent. There remains two victories, and we are going to try and gain them."
