Amo - Gunners and United want me
The Italian has effectively ruled out the possibility of staying at Rangers next term, despite the prospect of playing Champions League football, after revealing the Glasgow titans had accepted a bid from Rovers.
However, Amoruso now believes there are bigger Premiership fish than Rovers interested in his services.
The 31-year-old powerhouse claims his agent has been approached by representatives from the top two English clubs.
"Yes, it's true, I have been told that both of these clubs are interested in signing me," he told the Daily Record, referring to the top two in last term's Premiership.
"I didn't want to say anything about it because it is very early days, and we don't know what is going to happen, but they have spoken to my agent.
"It is obviously very flattering but, as I have said all along, my dream would be to finish my career in Glasgow and I really mean that - no matter who wants to sign me.
"But I have to be realistic and, if that can't happen, then I will look at my options."
Arsenal chief Arsene Wenger is scouring the market to find a suitable partner for England international Sol Campbell, and Amoruso would certainly fit in with his summer spending plans.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been looking for a dominant figure, and the no-nonsense Italian would be the perfect foil for cultured England ace Rio Ferdinand.
