Green wins Fulham deal

FULHAM have awarded young defender Adam Green a professional contract at the club.

The 19-year-old has progressed through the side's Academy and featured in the reserves last season.

Green is highly-rated at the West London outfit and Fulham assistant manager Steve Kean believes the teenager could force his way into Chris Coleman's first team plans.

"He's a left back with great potential. He's got a great engine and can run all day," Kean told the club's official website.

"It was difficult for him to break into the reserves because (Pierre) Wome was occupying the left back spot, which closed the door on him sometimes.

"But I'm sure that this year he'll get a good run, and maybe even break into the first team."
