Kovac in Hertha talks
BAYERN MUNICH midfielder Niko Kovac is in talks with Hertha Berlin about a possible move to the capital club.
The Berlin-born Croatian international looks likely to be tempted by a move back to the German capital after failing to hold down a first-team spot in Bayern's double-winning side last season.
"Talks have started. The situation is new but very appealing for Niko," Kovac's agent Jurgen Milewski told Berliner Morgenpost.
Kovac is contracted at Bayern until 2005 but the club's management have already declared that they would be prepared to let the 31-year-old move on.
"When a club like Hertha Berlin comes in for you, then it's obvious that you have a good think about it," Milewski added.
