Zola tops Chelsea poll
Zola is currently mulling over his future and has the opportunity of extending his illustrious stay at Stamford Bridge.
But if the veteran forward opts to return to his homeland, he will depart West London having provided the club with fond memories from the last campaign as he played a pivotal role in The Blues clinching a Champions League berth.
Zola was the unanimous choice of planetfootball.com readers as over 13,000 of you voted to decide Chelsea's Player of the Year.
The former Napoli and Parma star picked up 46 percent of the vote and romped away with the Chelsea crown.
His nearest rival was compatriot Carlo Cudicini with the impressive goalkeeper polling 23 percent of the vote.
The remaining four candidates - William Gallas, Frank Lampard, John Terry and Graeme Le Saux - were left trailing in the duo's slipstream.
