Ruggeri denies Atalanta claims
There had been speculation in Bergamo that Ruggeri would look to quit the club following their relegation to Serie B, but the Atalanta chief insists he has received no offers.
"If somebody wants to buy Atalanta they can take a step forward," Ruggeri declared.
"Stories about the club being sold are just speculation because there isn't anyone who wants to buy it.
"In recent years I've never had an offer and I don't think one will arrive now that we are relegated to Serie B."
Ruggeri was less decisive over reports that the club might be forced to sell star Cristiano Doni to ease their difficult financial situation which has been exacerbated by relegation.
The Italian international has been linked with a big-money move to newly-promoted Sampdoria, and Ruggeri admitted the club would be forced to consider any offers that came in.
"As for the sale of players, we will evaluate the offers and then we will decide what to do."
Meanwhile, the club are no closer to revealing their new manager. Nedo Sonetti and Andrea Mandorlini are the two names in the frame and Ruggeri revealed an announcement would be made in the next few days.
