The 31-year-old left back is also wanted by a number of Bundesliga outfits, but the interest from The Premiership is reportedly 'concrete'.

"I have an English Premier League club that has a concrete interest in Andre," Soler told VG. "There is also a couple of German clubs.

Soler will meet with Ajax over the next week to decide whether Bergdolmo will be allowed to depart the Amsterdam ArenA.

"The process has been a bit delayed after the change of sporting director at the club.

"But clubs want Andre, we are at a level where money is discussed."

The player himself confirmed a liking for England, but was leaving the matter with his agent.

"It's tempting with Premier League, but it all has to fit in - both economically and for my family," he said.

"I won't go just to travel to a place, but Erik knows my needs."
