Minstermen keen on Whitehead
YORK CITY look to have added their name to the list of clubs interested in signing former Reading goalkeeper Phil Whitehead.
Whitehead spent a week on loan late last term with The Minstermen and new Bootham Crecent boss Chris Brass seems keen to secure the 33-year-old's services for next season.
Fellow Division Three sides Oxford United and Huddersfield Town have already been linked with the veteran keeper, who had a recent trial with Second Division outfit Queens Park Rangers.
It remains to be seen if York City can afford to cut a permanent deal with Whitehead, despite being in desperate need of a senior custodian for the new campaign.
