Kahn sets retirement date
The goalkeeping legend has a contract with Bayern until the summer of 2006 and is determined to see out the deal with the German champions.
He has then targeted leading Germany in the World Cup on home soil before hanging up his gloves after an illustrious career.
"2006 is the end," vowed Kahn.
Upon his retirement, Kahn has revealed he would like to follow in the footsteps of Hoeness and take up a management position with the Bavarian giants.
Hoeness currently holds the general manager's post and Kahn wants to learn from him before taking over the reins himself.
He added: "I could see myself in this role and I feel there is no better man in that position who could introduce me to the job."
