Confusion around Essien move
CONFUSION reigns in France as to the future of Bastia's Mickael Essien - with Paris Saint Germain and Lyon still battling for the midfielder's signature.
Bastia have been less than clear with regard to the player's destination - stating first that PSG and subsequently Lyon were in pole position, but reports in the French media suggest that the former are leading the race.
However, the player himself would favour a move to Lyon - and the prospect of playing in the Champions League next year.
"I want to go to Lyon next season, and not Paris," stated Essien in no uncertain terms.
"The Champions League makes me dream."
