Quaresma excited by Depor switch
Quaresma's agent Jorge Mendes has met with Depor president Augusto Cesar Lendoiro, and a deal worth in the region of é¼10 million (£6 million) looks likely to be sealed this week.
"First of all it pleases me that clubs were interested in me, and Coruna especially because it is one of the biggest in Spain," said the 19-year-old.
"I have never concealed the fact that I'd like to play in Spain. It's a spectacular championship despite the fact I like other European leagues.
"I have expectation now. It will be good for me, but also for Sporting because I am still under contract at the club."
Quaresma went on to add that he was hugely grateful to the opportunity Sporting had given him to launch his career.
"I have spent twelve years at Sporting, a large part of my life. If I leave to go abroad Sporting will stay in my heart forever."
Meanwhile, Bundesliga outfit Hannover are stepping up their attempts to take Deportivo midfielder Jaime on loan next term.
The former Real Madrid player spent last season at the Niedersachsenstadion, and Hannover director of sport Ricardo Moar intends to meet Lendoiro this week to thrash out a similar deal for next campaign, with an option for a permanent deal at the end of it.
