Ono Barca move talk dismissed
Japanese media outlets claimed newly-elected Barcelona president Joan Laporta was looking at Ono as a way of helping the club secure a foothold in the lucrative Asian market.
Talk of the £6 million move filtered through the corridors of De Kuip on Wednesday afternoon, with the club issuing a swift denial.
Feyenoord technical director Rob Baan, speaking on the club`s website, said: "Total nonsense. Shinji Ono will play the next few seasons with Feyenoord."
Ono is currently on holiday, as he attempts to overcome niggling injuries which hampered him last term.
The midfielder is due to return to training on July 11, but will first visit a specialist to see how his injury is progressing.
