Al Fayed slams Fifa in Marlet dispute
The West London club were ordered to pay the closing £3.3 million instalment of the £11.5 million transfer fee to Lyon following a long-running wrangle with the French champions.
Fulham appealed against the decision and their case was heard by Fifa's Executive Committee in Paris last Saturday when world football's governing body upheld the order.
But Fulham claim they were not notified of the hearing and were unable to present further evidence to aid their appeal.
The club are now planning to take the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport but Al Fayed has slammed the manner in which Fifa have conducted the affair.
"It is a complete disgrace for such an important organisation as Fifa, the world governing body of football, to behave in this way," Al Fayed told the club's official website.
"Since they have made their decision public without telling us I am publishing our letter to them because I want the world to know what an inefficient and biased outfit they are.
"How dare they treat one of their member football clubs in such a cavalier and shoddy way?
"They are supposed to stand up for the interests of everyone in football. Some of us pump fortunes into the game and the very least we deserve is some modicum of fair treatment.
"Part of my crusade is to make a stand against the kind of corruption which is flourishing in football and I expect better support from organisations like Fifa."
In the aforementiond letter, which has been sent to Gianpaolo Monteneri of Fifa's Legal Services Division, Fulham claim Fifa's decision is a clear breach of natural justice and the organisation are also in breach of the European Convention on Human Rights.
