Rui Costa flattered by Barca link

MILAN midfielder Manuel Rui Costa has admitted he is flattered to be linked with a move to Barcelona, but insists he is happy to stay at the Giuseppe Meazza.

Reports in Italy and Spain have suggested that Barcelona were planning a move for the Portuguese international after failing in their attempts to sign David Beckham.

The classy playmaker has revealed he is content to stay at Milan and that he has no interest to leave for anywhere.

"It is a great pleasure (Barcelona's interest), but I want to stay at Milan," Rui Costa told the club's official website.

"I play in Europe's top team that has won the Champions League and I want to stay. I have never thought of leaving."

Milan are unlikely to be willing to sell the 31-year-old after he helped them win the Champions League and Coppa Italia last season.
