Kapo set for French stay
OLIVIER KAPO looks set to stay in France, with interest from English clubs not as strong as the player would like.
Kapo had hoped for a move to a big Premiership club, but with no major bids being lodged is considering remaining with Auxerre or moving to Lyon.
Lyon would be keen to snap up the young talent, but the prospect of staying where he is seems the better option.
The stability of the Auxerre side could provide Kapo with a route into the Euro 2004 squad - if he can continue to shine in Le Championnat.
This is also the factor that is causing Jean-Alain Boumsong to pause on leaving Le Championnat.
Auxerre are keen to sell the talented young defender, but he is looking to retain his place in the national set-up and does not want to rock the boat by leaving for a new club.
