Livingstone signs for Cumbrians
The 33-year-old began his career as a trainee at Coventry City before moving to Blackburn Rovers in 1991.
Ten goals in 30 league appearances for Rovers earned him a move to Chelsea two years later, but his stay at Stamford Bridge was short lived and he moved to Grimsby, after a short loan period at Port Vale, late in 1993.
The Middlesbrough-born striker has now moved away from Blundell Park, after 336 appearances and 51 goals for the club and has signed a one-year deal with The Cumbrians.
Livingstone is not the only player to leave The Mariners in recent times, as goalkeeper Danny Coyne has left to join Premiership new boys Leicester City.
Carlisle manager Roddy Collins has been busy finalising his playing staff for next season, after Will McDonagh penned a new two-year deal at Brunton Park on Wednesday.
