Twente keen on Giorgi

PSV boss Guus Hiddink has told the Georgian that he can move on, news which has alerted a number of clubs.

RBC Roosendaal were put forward as potential suitors last month, but they have failed to follow up their initial interest.

This has let in Twente, who have confirmed that talks are taking place.

The 27-year-old former Dinamo Tbilisi man seems keen to stay in Holland and Twente are confident a deal can be concluded in the near future.

Gakhokidze arrived in Eindhoven in 1998, but it was not until the 2000/01 season that he won a regular place in the team.

He fell out of favour the following season and is looking to resurrect his career away from the Philips Stadion.

Twente have already been active in the transfer market and, if signing, Gakhokidze will become their sixth capture of the summer.
