Bantams get clearance for Kiwi keeper
The 26-year-old, who plays in his native country for Napier City Rovers, will join The Bantams next week after being with the New Zealand squad at last month's Confederations Cup competition in France.
The tall custodian failed to appear for the All Whites in the tournament and has only one full cap so far to his name - that being against Indonesia in 1997.
His has previous experience in English football with fellow Yorkshire side Barnsley but Paston failed to break into the first team at Oakwell.
Meanwhile, The Bantams have mutually terminated the contract of defender Andy Tod, leaving him free to sign for a club in Scotland.
Tod spent the latter half of last season on loan with Scottish Premier League side Dundee United, having been unfortunately benched by the West Yorkshire outfit.
Bradford refused to play Tod after realising that a clause in his contract would have meant that the club would need to pay his former side Dunfermline Athletic £25,000, had he made one more appearance for The Bantams.
"We are pleased that the long drawn out saga has been concluded and that we have been able to mutually agree to the cancellation of Andy's contract which will hopefully enable him to get a new club back in Scotland," Bradford's managing director Shaun Harvey told the club's official website.
