Foe death from 'natural causes'
AN AUTOPSY has confirmed that Marc-Vivien Foe died of natural causes - with no stimulants found in his body.
Foe tragically collapsed in the Confederations Cup whilst playing for Cameroon and subsequently died.
After it was announced that the player had not suffered a stroke, chemical analysis was done to ensure that the player had not been using any stimulants that could have placed extra stress on his heart.
However, a prosecutor in Lyon, where the tragedy occurred, ruled out drugs or foul play and found nothing abnormal.
"The death is from natural causes," said the prosecutor Xavier Richard. "No stimulant substances were found.
"The death was of cardiac origin."
