Barca agree Quaresma deal
The Catalan giants will splash out é¼7 million (£4.8 million) to lure Quaresma to Camp Nou while Rochemback will spend a season on loan in Portugal.
Quaresma had also been linked with Barca's Spanish rivals, Deportivo La Coruna, and Premiership champions, Manchester United, whose co-operation agreement with Sporting has failed to secure them Portugal's hottest property.
The teenage midfielder will sign a four-year contract with Barca, with the option of a further 12 months.
The 19-year-old is expected to be officially unveiled on Friday once he has successfully passed a medical and becomes the club's fourth summer signing, following the acquisitions of Rustu Recber, Rafael Marquez and Luis Garcia.
Quaresma is confident he can prove a positive influence on the team and also admitted to being flattered by comparisons to compatriot, and former Barca star, Luis Figo.
"I am very happy and I hope to sign tomorrow (Friday) after the medical tests," said Quaresma.
"I am 19-years-old and I hope to be able to help this team.
"I am proud (regarding the Figo comparisons) because Figo is a great player and it is clear that I would like to be the new Figo because that is a source of pride for a Portuguese player.
"But I will have to work hard in Barcelona to some day have the name which Luis Figo has in the world of football."
